Weekly Soup Kitchen

The College UMC Soup Kitchen is open every Tuesday evening from 5:30 — 6:30 PM to anyone in need of a hot, nourishing meal or a warm, friendly place to visit. Volunteers are always appreciated, especially around the holidays. If you would like to donate anything toward these meals, please talk with Glenda Plant.

If you would like more information, please contact our Soup Kitchen Coordinator, Glenda Plant, at 541.929.6614 or leave a message on the church phone at 541.929.2412. This is a great opportunity for students to earn volunteer hours and for community members to lend a helping hand. (Non-Discrimination statement)

Monthly Omelet Dinner

Next dinner is Friday, February 7, 2020. There are no dinners in July or August as staff takes a break from the heat in the kitchen! Join us again in September and remember everyone is welcome!

Omelet Dinners are held the first Friday of the month from 5:00 — 7:00 PM. Exceptions to this are the April Spaghetti Dinner and no omelet dinners in July and August when our cooks take a summer break.

For $7, you can get a ruffled French omelet with your choice of fillings including turkey ham, green onions, geen peppers, mushrooms, Jack and/or cheddar cheese, homemade scones, fruit and a beverage (egg-beaters can be substituted). Mild and medium salsa is available as well. Scones and gravy can be purchased for $6 for those not fond of omelets. There are a variety of homemade desserts available for a donation.

In April, we serve spaghetti with homemade sauce, tossed green salad, bread and a beverage. The omelets return in May!

The dinners are fundraisers for the property taxes on the church-owned parsonage and at least one benefit per year.
